What We’re Building
For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with contractors all over the country saving them money on Prevailing Wage projects. And we are still building today, constantly finding new ways to improve our services and the returns they yield you, your business and your valued employees. Let us show you the many different ways the Beneco Plan can be always building your business.

Todd earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and his undergraduate from the University of Colorado. In 2013, he was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year semifinalist.

A Brief History
The Federal Davis-Bacon Act and Service Contract Act was enacted nearly a century ago to support the workers who build government projects. The public building we use, the landmarks we visit, and the infrastructure we rely on every day were all built using this 1931 law.
Almost three decades ago, Beneco was founded by Rance Smith, a former Texas high school football coach, and his family. He wanted to better serve contractors and their employees who are doing Prevailing Wage work under Davis-Bacon. Today, this is still our exclusive focus—unlike the conglomerates on Wall Street. We believe in providing the best and most competitive plans, rates and returns for builders and their families—who otherwise may not have many options for retirement plans or cost-effective benefits.
